Last week, between 15th and 18th May known as the Taiwan Geosciences Assembly, or TGA, there was a gathering about newest achievements in geosciences in Taiwan. Our SQUAD prepared whole set of presentations. Of course most hearts were put to TCDP (Taiwan ChenlungPu Drilling Project) and FIT (Fluid Injection Test).
Quite burning interest was about fault healing process, where many scientists were influenced by our FIT experiment in Dakeng. Lots of questions, discussions make whole atmosphere emotional and pleasant.
However, we presented our such impressive achievements in other fields as:
- Validate the Rupture Velocity of the 2001 Kunlung Earthquake by Regoinal Surface Waves [Yi-Ying Wen, Kuo-Fong Ma]
- Slip Distributions of the Dec 26, 2006 Ping Tung Earthquake from Teleseismic Waveforms [Yin-Tung Yen, Yi-Ying Wen, Kuo-Fong Ma]
- Source Fault Model of 1771 Yaeyama Tsunami [Ling-Wang Liau, Kuo-Fong Ma]
- Construction of 3-D S-wave Attenuation Model of the Crust and Uppermost Mantle beneath Arc-Continent Collision, Taiwan [Yu-Ju Wang, Kuo-Fong Ma]
